BSN to licensing

Hi,
I am wanting to get a BSN, do you just take the state exam once you get your BSN, or do you have to do clinicals in a hospital like in a 2 year ADN program ?

Each state board of nursing have different requirements. ADN is a 2-3 year with concentration to RN, however, BSN is at least 4 year program with concentration to RN and management. You may do either one, but most schools or universities requires ADN first in order to be qualified for BSN or straight to BSN as a bridge, and take RN (NCLEX) afterwards when meet all the requirements of the BON. Hope it answers your question
